In July we were delighted to announce Joules’ collaboration with the BRC to support the development of future retail leaders through the BRC Retail Leadership and Management Apprenticeship. After launching in July, the programme is well underway and the Level 5 learners have been working their way through Unit 1. So far they’ve covered The ‘Golden Thread’ and aligning their own and their teams objectives to those of Joules and the industry, Trust and Empowerment, The Grow model of coaching and Giving effective feedback.
“I decided to sign up for the Level 5 apprenticeship for many reasons, one being that I am at a point in my L&D where I felt my learning opportunities were restricted. I was also worried that I was “too old” to do an apprenticeship. However after having an initial discussion with my L&D team I am very excited at what lies ahead. I am like a sponge and can’t wait to learn and build on my existing skills. Also, I love the idea of having a mentor who is highly experienced who I can go to for advice and guidance.”
