CEN Publishes Workshop Agreement on Community Face Coverings

The document has been rushed through. The UK was not engaged in its compilation. Some feel that the CWA is a technically flawed document, not only because it chooses to use test methods that are more medical device oriented but also it fails to address certain safety aspects that arise as a responsibility under the EU’s General Product Safety Directive.

The UK through BSi will look to engage as it looks to be developed as a TS (Technical Standard)
