Product & Propositions Director, Barclays Partner Finance

Joshua is currently a member of the Barclays Partner Finance executive committee – helping to drive the businesses digital transformation. In his role as Product & Propositions Director, he has end-to-end accountability for the development, management and governance of our products. He works closely with partner retailers to help them evolve, build their business and better serve their customers, partners and shareholders.

Throughout his career, Joshua’s built a deep understanding of retail banking and consumer credit by working across different geographies, products and business cycles. Prior to his current role, Joshua was responsible for executing growth strategy and partnerships for the UK’s largest unsecured lending business, operating under the Barclaycard and Barclayloan brands. He also helped to lead consumer banking businesses across the UK, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Richard Brassey

Head of Business Partnerships, Barclays Partner Finance

For the last 12 years, Richard has been building business partnerships and delivering change in the finance industry as part of the Barclays Partner Finance team. He has more than 26 years’ experience in retail finance consumer lending and has a deep understanding of retail prime and subprime lending partnerships, strategy and risk. In his role, Richard endeavours to look for strategic opportunities within the wider Barclays networks for existing partners and new prospects. He works closely with our retailers, creating a true partnership to help them to feel confident when offering retail finance to their customers.

Richard started life in consumer electrical retail before continuing his career in the mobile phone market. He gained valuable experience along the way at organisations including Hitachi Capital, BNP Paribas (Cetelem) and Capita. He also has experience in motor lending prime and subprime.
