Electrical Safety First has opened applications for its Safety Innovation Award.

It is free to enter and gives applicants the chance to showcase their innovation, gaining recognition and reward at the Electrical Product Safety Conference where finalists will showcase their work in front of an audience of potential clients and investors.

The award was established to recognise those who put safety at the heart of product development, while encouraging sustainability and innovation.

The Charity is inviting applications from businesses, and individuals, that have developed an innovative product or project which enhances consumer safety. Applications are open to projects and products at all stages of development, including design and concept.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified in September, with selected finalists presenting to judges in October.

The winner and shortlisters will be invited to Electrical Safety First’s annual product safety conference, on Wednesday 23 November, at Church House, Westminster where the winner will be announced and will have the opportunity to talk about their work.
