The next phase of the Revised Payment Service Directive (PSD2) coming into effect in September stipulates a new two-tier customer authentication for payments (Strong Customer Authentication, SCA).

This will have significant implications, particularly for online retailing, and retailers will need to be fully prepared for the changes to ensure legal compliance.

Retailers will also need to mitigate against the possibility of more consumers abandoning their basket at checkout when being compelled to go through additional steps in the payment process.

At this meeting, led by our finance expert, we’ll be discussing the impact of SCA, the timescales and processes for implementation.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from different payment providers that can offer solutions for a frictionless customer experience after SCA comes into effect
