We know that fraud is the second most costly crime to our members, with the direct cost to them in ’15-’16 recorded as around £180 million, with more than half of that cyber-enabled. It is also an area of very keen interest to the media, Government and Parliament, with the reputational issues that can bring. Fraud, particularly online fraud, presents new challenges to retailers, providers and the authorities alike, with no single ‘magic bullet’ solution. There are, however, a range of initiatives, workstreams and products which can support members to limit their and their customers’ risk, which this webinar will assist them to explore.
