LUCY CROWTHER

Director of BRC Learning

Lucy joined BRC in May 2020 to lead the newly created BRC Learning team. BRC Learning’s purpose is to help members achieve the Better Jobs vision and to make BRC the go-to organisation for careers and professional development in Retail.

Lucy is a seasoned Retailer and has worked in some of the most recognisable business in the UK, including Tesco, Argos and Barclays in mainly HR roles. Most recently Lucy was Group HR Director at Card Factory.

Vicki Young

Head of Leadership Development & Learning Events

Vicki started her retail career at Woolworths and McDonalds. For the last 15 years, she has been working as Regional HR Manager for the South at the World Duty Free Group.

She has extensive experience of leading HR and Retail projects, developing internal talent programmes, delivering internal communication and engagement solutions across many sites, and developing employee development and wellbeing programmes.

Vicki is a former OSS student and has been involved in the school’s running as the Academy Group Director since 2017.

Lauren Chexal

Customer Relationship Manager

Lauren has joined us from Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), where she previously led L&D and account management functions for a global B2B platform connecting businesses to Insight.

She is a CIPD qualified talent development specialist, with eight years of client relationship management and people leadership experience prior to transitioning into the learning and development field.

kate vukomanovic

Digital Learning Manager

Kate has been with the BRC since 2018 and is responsible for shaping and developing our digital learning offer. With over 10 years’ experience in Learning and Development, Kate has worked in a few different sectors from tech and sales with Groupon, to hospitality and brewing with Fuller, Smith and Turner.

Kate has a wealth of experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects and has led and supported a range of projects to implement new systems and platforms in the businesses she has worked in.

Janet Woods

Interim Specialist Programme Lead

Janet is a highly creative Learning and Development professional with extensive experience of leading large teams, big change projects and operational management expertise across different business areas.

She has over 30 years of experience in fast moving retail roles, stores, the field and head office in a multi-site, digital business. Held several roles ranging from managing over 30 stores as an Area Manager with Argos, to heading up Learning and Development for Home Retail Group (Argos, Homebase and Habitat). More recently led a large project team developing the talent programmes for Sainsbury’s and completed an interim role as Head of Leadership Development.

Natalia Chudoba

Marketing Manager

Natalia is a B2B Marketing professional with 10 years' experience of working with some of the largest players in the B2B world, marketing for global merchandise distributors, Professional Services, Investment Funds, Civil Engineering and Commercial Property.

She has a background in Social Research and holds the Professional Marketing Diploma from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Mini MBA in Marketing diploma with Mark Ritson and the Marketing Week.
