Office for Product Safety and Standards : Product Safety Review

In March 2021 the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) launched a Call for Evidence into the UKs product safety framework. OPSS is the UK Government’s enforcement authority for a range of goods-based and standards-based regulations. OPSS is part of BEIS. Currently product safety enforcement is carried out primarily by trading standards services but OPSS and the Medicine and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA) are also involved
