In 2019 Mark Ruffalo starred in Dark Water where he played "The Lawyer Who Became DuPont's Worst Nightmare". In the film Ruffalo investigates a number of unexplained animal death in Virginia. The deaths are believed to be linked to the dumping of materials (PFOA) used in the manufacture of non-stick cookware. PFOAs are part of a group of 'forever chemicals' which are
