Defra has launched a call for evidence asking for information on the fur trade in Great Britain and overseas to better understand its impacts and inform whether further action is required to address any consequences of this trade.
The BRC and members have opportunity to respond to this call for evidence, which will be open from 31st May until 28th June, and provide evidence about the trade, welfare implications and consumer use of fur.
The call for evidence is available publicly to respond to using the online portal at https://consult.defra.gov.uk/animal-welfare-in-trade/fur-market-in-great-britain.
