Defra is undertaking a Post Implementation Review of the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Regulations 2012 . A Post Implementation Review is undertaken on some regulations on a regular basis to collect evidence on whether they are achieving their objectives, and whether the objectives are still appropriate.  

We are contacting you as part of our ongoing dialogue with stakeholders to improve UK policy and its implementation in the timber sector, and because you have previously shown an interest in this area. We will be interested to read your views, which will help us assess how the regulation is working.
