Please log-in to access the response form for this year’s BRC Payments Survey. We need your company to respond to this call for input.

The Payments Survey provides the vital evidence base underpinning the BRC’s work to achieve a fair and competitive settlement for UK businesses on retail payments. This year the UK’s Payment Systems Regulator will publish its long-term Strategy, and the Government will set out its plans following it’s Payments Landscape Review, both of which have the potential to shift the dial of payments regulation towards the retailer after more than 30 years of anticompetitive card fees and card schemes’ abuse of their dominant market position.

In addition to the usual table is a questionnaire that forms part of the Payments Survey, seeking feedback on how payments within your business have been impacted by the pandemic, your company's plans for adopting new contactless changes from October, and your preparations for new security measures in e-commerce (Strong Customer Authentication).

Please share this with the appropriate individual within your organisation. Your payment service provider can assist in supplying the required information. Responses to the questionnaire should be returned to costofcollection@brc.org.uk by Friday 2nd July.

As always, the data you provide remains entirely confidential, is used solely for the purpose of the Payments Survey, and the results are presented as industry aggregates only.

As with the previous 2 years, the Survey has been combined with the self-certification form for the Bank of England Code of Conduct for the Authentication of Machine-dispensed banknotes. This is for retailers operating self-service checkouts only.

Please complete all sections that apply to your business.

We look forward to receiving your response.
