Defra has told us the following about the AI outbreak in Suffolk 11/12/19

• Farm affected was producer eggs for broiler production not table eggs and a small number of breeding birds not going into the food chain at this stage
• Low path so limited controls in place
• No significant poultry production within 1km so Defra reasonably relaxed provided they don’t find high path AI
• No turkey farms nearby, nearest abattoir 10km away so not affected
• Defra will share updates if necessary but at this stage not a significant outbreak
