Apprenticeship Levy

The Apprenticeship Levy was welcomed as an opportunity to ensure the rapidly changing industry was equipped with the necessary skills for the future. Two years on retailers are still committed, however frustrations on the flexibility for the use of the levy remains. As the industry continues to transform, apprenticeships provide a real opportunity to support existing employees move into new roles. Future funding must be secured for all ages to enable the retail industry transition to a higher skilled, more productive industry.
