The British Retail Consortium (BRC) and the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC) recently held a roundtable with retailers and Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) to discuss the ongoing issue of violence and abuse against shopworkers.

 The roundtable was chaired by Tom Ironside, Director of Business and Regulation, BRC and PCC Katy Bourne, APCC National Lead for Business Crime. 

 The purpose of the roundtable was a key opportunity to give all PCCs, newly elected, and re-elected an overview of what retail workers have been experiencing over the past 12 months and how PCCs can work with retailers to implement solutions to drive down incidents.
