The Scottish Government is seeking to extend anti-irritancy measures from 31 March to 31 September. The proposal is currently awaiting approval from the Scottish Parliament.

If approved, this would give commercial tenants in Scotland extended protection from eviction by landlords for non-payment of rent due to Covid - equivalent to the protection from forfeiture in England.

This is a welcome move from the Scottish Government, and we are pushing for the Westminster parliament to follow suit for England.
