Northern Ireland Protocol Bill

The UK Government has published a Bill which would over ride key elements of the Northern Ireland protocol, an important component of the UK-EU trade deal.

Below is a short brief on what the Bill seeks to deliver and next steps for trade between GB and NI. We are continuing to work with Government to ensure the impact on GB and NI supply chains is limited. Our preference remains a negotiated settlement between the EU and UK but will work with officials to ensure the Bill, if required, delivers the right processes for future transport of goods to NI.
