The economic impacts of Brexit and the Prime Minister’s deal have taken centre stage this month. The Government and the Bank of England have published projections for the UK economy under various scenarios. We summarize the findings of these studies in this quarter’s forecasting report. The overwhelming message is that the UK economy is and will be worse off than if it remained in the EU and getting no-deal before 29th March 2019 will lead to the most serious consequences.
