The afternoon will be an off-the-record, interactive session led by A&O Shearman, exploring how a major cyber incident unfolds from the CEO’s perspective. Designed to confront one of the most consequential leadership challenges of our time, the Forum will include tailored scenarios and peer discussion. We will walk through the critical decisions involved in navigating a rapidly evolving crisis, which happens under intense time pressure, often with incomplete information.

Ffion Flockhart
Partner, A&O Shearman
Ffion is Global Co-Head of Cybersecurity. She specialises in cyber risk management and coordinates the global crisis response team to help clients manage and mitigate the impact of adverse cyber incidents.
Ffion has overseen hundreds of incident responses, including some of the largest cyber incidents for multinational clients. Her work comprises overseeing forensic investigations, liaising with government authorities, dealing with notification requirements, liaising with regulators, advising on the interaction with commercial counterparties, as well as helping to defend related group litigation. She has extensive connections within the forensics, intelligence and broader cybersecurity community, helping to ensure that her advice is always current, practical and takes account of the latest threat intelligence, which is of critical importance in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
Ffion is recognised as a Justice and Cybersecurity Expert by the World Economic Forum and has consulted with the UK Government’s Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy on its inquiry into ransomware. She is included in Cybersecurity Docket’s Incident Response 50, which identifies the 50 best data breach response lawyers globally (one of five non-US partners).
Helen Dickinson OBE
Chief Executive
Helen leads the team and sets the strategic direction of the BRC. She joined in January 2013 and has been working with retailers for over 25 years. In 2016 she was awarded an OBE for Services to Retail.
Helen is passionate about diversity and inclusion in retail, she acts as the BRC’s Social Mobility Commission ambassador and was previously the Chair of Working Chance, a charity helping women offenders find employment. She is on the advisory board for Pennies, a charity which offers digital charity boxes to businesses, and was previously UK Head of Retail at KPMG.
