As property costs continue to rise, it is increasingly important to identify the effective approaches retailers can take to successfully address them. This includes Business Rates reform, effective relationships with landlords and working with central government and local partners to support retail’s role in local communities.
The Property Community gives members the opportunity to shape the debate and tackle the issues collaboratively, effectively influencing government, landlords and the broader property landscape.

Tom leads the Business & Regulation team covering a broad range of business cost and reputational issues including property, planning, regeneration, taxation, crime, employment, diversity and risk and safety.
He joined us in 2008 bringing previous experience in a range of public sector policy roles and began his career at the Local Government Commission leading reviews of local authorities' structure and electoral arrangements.
