Meet the Speakers

  • Jason Freeman

    Director, Consumer Law CMA

    Jason is a Legal Director at the CMA, where he has led legal analysis on a wide range of consumer enforcement and policy projects. Current areas of work include preparing for the CMA’s forthcoming direct enforcement powers, revising the CMA’s guidance on unfair practices, and litigation against Emma Mattresses.

  • Tom Ironside

    Director of Business & Regulation

    Tom leads the Business & Regulation team covering a broad range of business cost and reputational issues including property, planning, regeneration, taxation, crime, employment, diversity and risk and safety.

    He joined us in 2008 bringing previous experience in a range of public sector policy roles and began his career at the Local Government Commission leading reviews of local authorities' structure and electoral arrangements.
