BRC Textiles Net Zero Group Q1 2025

This group sits within our Climate Action Roadmap, an initiative driving action toward the ambition of a net zero Retail sector by 2040. We’re acting on one of the resounding common feedback points from a recent review of the Roadmap: to convene more member peer-to-peer discussion sessions.

The Textiles Net Zero Group will take place quarterly,

• with the objective to provide a safe space for members to share experiences and best practice with each other;
• with the focus on shared challenges;
• with the goal of collectively and collaboratively accelerating transition to net zero.

• Product Carbon Footprinting for Textiles
• Net Zero Targets for Textiles
• Roadmap alignment on Targets and KPIs
• Any burning questions for group on any Net Zero topic

3. BRC Focus Areas – Update on proposed approach

• Collective approach for consistent net zero commitments/data from shared suppliers
• Structured programme for supporting supplier decarbonisation (SMEs / multi-brand platforms)
• Government engagement with clear mandate (need group input for mandate)

4. Group actions

• Update on actions from Nov24 meeting
• Ongoing group communications
• Agreement on topic for next session
