EU PPWR Working Group - Labelling

This working group meeting will focus specifically on the EU labelling proposals under the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). While the requirements are not yet finalised, the session is designed to help members navigate uncertainty and compare emerging approaches.

The session will:

• Provide a forum for peer‑to‑peer discussion on PPWR labelling proposals
• Enable members to share early views, interpretations and practical considerations
• Explore emerging challenges and areas of uncertainty ahead of finalised requirements
• Support constructive discussion across the retail supply chain

Defra will attend in a listening capacity, to:

• Hear member feedback on the proposed labelling requirements
• Gain informal insights to support ongoing policy development

This session is intended to facilitate open discussion between members rather than provide formal guidance or definitive policy positions.
