Our next HR Technical call (30 April 11am-12pm) will discuss the ongoing Disability and Ethnicity Mandatory Pay Gap Reporting consultation.
The purpose of the call is to host a conversation with members to inform our response. With that in mind, we ask attendees to come ready to share their views on the below:
- Should large employers have to report their ethnicity/disability pay gaps?
- Pay gap calculations: Should employers report the same 6 measures as for gender pay gap reporting? Should large employers have to report on the breakdown of their workforce? Should large employers have to submit data on the percentage of employees who did not state their ethnicity/disability status?
- Action plans: Should employer have to produce an action plan about what they are doing to improve workplace quality for ethnic minority/disabled employees?
- Dates and deadlines: Should ethnicity/disability pay gap reporting have the same reporting dates as gender pay gap reporting? Should the data be reported online in a similar way?
- Enforcement: Should ethnicity/disability pay gap reporting have the same enforcement policy as gender pay gap reporting?
