Packaging EPR Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO)
With Extended Producer Responsibility regulations for packaging (pEPR) coming into force in January 2025 and its associated government-led Scheme Administrator (SA) already appointed, BRC are hosting a session for members to hear more about the work being undertaken to establish a Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO).
A PRO is a not-for-profit, collective of obligated producers that is envisioned to be responsible for the financial and operational design functions of the SA. To read more about the PRO, BRC has prepared a briefing available to be viewed here.
This session will be held jointly with FDF and aims to inform members on the latest thinking from the PRO steering group and the co-design process being led by Defra. There will be opportunities for members to ask questions too.
