Sustainability Masterclass: Developing and delivering your strategy
Through guest speaker presentations, case study examples and group activities, this interactive 2-day workshop will help you demystify core sustainability concepts, gain a practical understanding of environmental impact management and work collectively to agree best practices in sustainability strategy and reporting.
In partnership with Position Green this BRC sustainability masterclass: "Developing and Delivering your strategy" provides a comprehensive look at how businesses can and must integrate sustainability into their operations, from Supply chain management to corporate strategy and communication.
The two-days will provide you with a roadmap, tailored to the retail industry, for how businesses can evolve towards more sustainable, ethical, and accountable practices in an increasingly regulated and environmentally conscious world. Whilst identifying how sustainable your organisation is on the maturity curve, you will be guided by expert facilitators to learn where to start and how to utilise key drivers such as values and brand alignment to lead your business beyond regulatory compliance towards value creation.
Whether it be working through a target-setting process in strategy development or discussing the challenges of data collection and handling in reporting, this hands-on course will give you and your organisation the tools to engage in sustainability transformation.

The programme is designed to cater to a wide range of levels of ESG/Sustainability knowledge and experience, from novice through to professional. It achieves a wide range of this through the use of tested models which can be applied by participants and their organisations at different levels of maturity.
The course will do deep dives into strategy, helping participants to find out whether or not their strategy is fit for purpose in addressing the company’s most material ESG issues. We will examine the trigger for the strategy, the suitability and order of the strategy’s operational steps and tests on the strategy’s targets to see whether they give you what you really want or need? We will look into the measurement and reporting of strategic targets, with a strong focus on communicating for success. We will also cover how to adapt your strategy to changing regulations and operating conditions, including how to deal with difficult decisions.
