Just a note to let you know about a tweak we’re making to how you as an Associate Member can share your thought leadership with the rest of BRC.
Associate Members are entitled to share four content pieces each year. Our retail members value this content, which surfaces in relevant sections of our website. So, when they’re looking for the latest content from BRC, or for details of upcoming member calls, they also see the content you have shared. Our team regularly share links to this content in their Community Bulletins, so the content gets a lengthy shelf-life.
Previously, we’ve also published this content in a separate quarterly PDF document called The Retailer, which looks more like a printed magazine. This, however, is a legacy and doesn’t reflect how people consume content now they have switched to reading it directly on the BRC website. Due to the submission deadlines and production process, content is sometimes out of date before it is published – and nor does it get picked up by search engines. So, we’re no longer going to produce this format.
The new approach gives you more flexibility, in that you can share your content when it is convenient to you, rather than being restricted by quarterly submission deadlines. We can also update your articles, should you wish to change some of the data or commentary over time.
We will continue to spotlight your articles via our email bulletins, thus driving the readership you’re after.
