New measures being introduced under the Employment Rights Act 2025 highlight the UK Government’s commitment to strengthening collective bargaining rights in workplaces. Starting from April 2026, the new measures will give trade unions more opportunities to enter workplaces, represent and negotiate on behalf of members. The changes may require a significant employee relations reset by some organisations in your industry and Mercer is keen to understand how employers will respond.

Mercer (a Marsh business) would like to invite you to participate in Mercer’s free Employee Relations Self-Diagnostic Assessment. As someone involved in managing employee relations in their organisation, we want to hear from you about your current employee relations framework, policies, and practices. You will receive your individual results, which are intended to help you identify opportunities for further development and improvement in your organisation. Mercer will use aggregated data from the diagnostic to benchmark practices more broadly, inform strategic recommendations, and support continuous improvement in employee relations. Your responses will be treated with strict confidentiality and handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

The diagnostic takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. We would also welcome the opportunity to have a follow-up conversation with you and discuss your results in more detail, and how Mercer could support you further.

We appreciate your time and expertise in completing this diagnostic and look forward to your valuable input to help shape a stronger, more effective employee relations environment.

Thank you for your participation.
