In response to Keir Starmer’s speech at the Labour Party conference, Tom Ironside, Director of Business & Regulation at the British Retail Consortium, said:
"We welcome the Labour Party's support for transforming the Apprenticeship Levy into a Growth and Skills Levy, enabling businesses to use the funds on a wider range of accredited courses. The BRC and our members have been campaigning for these flexibilities for some time and these changes would unlock additional funds, allowing members to use a larger portion of their Levy pots to invest in much needed skills and training for colleagues, boosting productivity across the industry."
