Visa joins forces with the BRC and SMF to celebrate towns

Visa has launched a new campaign to celebrate the towns across the country which are helping their local communities and businesses to thrive, in partnership with the BRC and Social Market Foundation (SMF).

Talk of the Town is Visa's new campaign to highlight the strength and importance of towns to the UK's economy and social fabric. 

As part of the campaign, a new competition - Let's Celebrate Towns - has been launched for towns to enter.

By entering, Towns across the UK have the chance of attending a national awards ceremony and being one of eight towns recognised across two categories, Champion and Rising Star. All those selected will also be offered a grant fund, which will contribute to local community and sustainability initiatives, as well as business and professional coaching to help towns start, scale, and grow ideas. The awards ceremony will take place in January 2023. 

Members are encouraged to spread the word with local authorities, BIDs and other town and community groups!
