Genetic Engineering - New Legislation

You will be aware the Government is introducing a new Bill to licence genetic engineering of crops and animals. We have been engaging with the FSA and joined one of their stakeholder workshops in the Summer.

The Bill is progressing through Parliament and is likely to become law early 2023. Below is a letter the FSA has distributed outlining next steps for the Bill and its continuing work alongside the Bill to develop a regulatory framework for GE.
