Target Operating Model (TOM) Update from DEFRA

In today's NI-GB food supply chain meeting, DEFRA updated us on the Target Operating Model (TOM). They said there are ongoing discussions internally, with delay to the initial March publication due to the Windsor Framework. There is momentum in the last week or two, but some complexity in ensuring everything matches up. DEFRA is hoping for a publication in a matter of weeks, not months and there is indication of a consultation further down the line. The BRC continues to monitor developments and raise concerns with timelines and implications of the new systems/processes. Further detail is expected in due course.
