ACAS Consultation: Flexible working code of practice

Acas is updating its statutory Code of Practice on handling requests for flexible working. 

Statutory flexible working requests are requests for a change to an employee’s contractual terms and conditions relating to their hours, times or place of work. 

Acas's Code of Practice provides guidance to employers and employees on the statutory right to request flexible working as set out in the Employment Rights Act 1996. Acas is consulting on an updated Code of Practice, welcoming contributions from all interested individuals and organisations.
