Acas has released its strategy for 2025–2030, setting out its approach to preventing, managing and resolving workplace conflict. The strategy aims to support stronger employment relations, improve organisational responses to conflict, and contribute to a more productive economy.
The strategy acknowledges the evolving nature of work – shaped by legislative change, shifting expectations, and economic pressures – and the significant cost of workplace conflict to individuals, organisations and the wider economy.
It focuses on preventing conflict is preferable to managing it, and managing it well is preferable to allowing it to escalate, by looking at three areas:
- Healthier employment relations: encouraging employers and workers to build constructive relationships from the outset.
- Better conflict management: supporting organisations to address issues early and effectively.
- Earlier dispute resolution: promoting timely and fair resolution of disputes to reduce stress, cost and disruption.
Acas is inviting collaboration with partners to help deliver these ambitions. This may include joint campaigns, sharing insights, or developing tailored approaches to sector-specific challenges.
