Designated Standards - Letter to the Office for Product Safety and Standards

The British Retail Consortium, alongside a number of other trade associations, are signatories to a letter to OPSS, concerning the process for designating standards.

This letter states that the designation process is "being used by OPSS to add additional requirements, informative notes, or to require additional assurance measures. This only leads to industry uncertainty and an undermining of a standard that has gone through proper scrutiny by international experts"
