Product Safety Review - Retail sector response (Updated 091123)

We have published our response to the Office for Product Safety and Standards product safety review. Our response covers:

- E-labelling

- Derogation of standards

- Enforcement of product safety legislation

UPDATED 09/11/23. A typo in our response has been notified. In respect of online marketplaces, we should have said:

“Consideration needs to be given to the definition of a distributor. If an OMP is not selling directly to the consumers at all, then it should be classed as a distributor.”

It should say ‘not classed as a distributor’.
