Environmental product footprinting at scale

This webinar was part of the BRC's Climate Action Week 2023

Environmental product footprinting, or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) at scale, provides retailers with the granular data necessary to measure and manage Scope 3 emissions, whilst unlocking value propositions that can offset the cost of the Net Zero transition. One such proposition is the ability to accelerate Scope 3 decarbonisation through product innovation, in collaboration with suppliers.

Over the last 12 months, the BRC-Mondra coalition has been developing the method and technology to harmonise environmental product footprinting for the UK Grocery sector, rolling out a system to enable collaborative decarbonisation through the supply chain.

In this webinar, we discussed:

  • The latest developments from the Coalition across tech, data and standards.
  • Participating retailers and suppliers' motivations, experience to date and aspirations.
  • The benefits of a Coalition approach and opportunities for additional retailers to get involved in 2024.

The webinar is hosted by Mondra Founder and CEO Jason Barrett, and supported by speakers from the Co-op, Samworth Brothers, and Avara Foods.
