Who's the Leadership Essentials for?
This programme is designed for Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants working in retail who want to:
- Build confidence in leading and influencing without formal authority
- Communicate with more credibility and impact, particularly with senior leaders
- Develop practical people management skills such as coaching, feedback and delegation
- Connect with a peer network facing the same challenges
No previous leadership training is required.

Programme structure
The programme follows a Prepare → Apply → Reflect flow, with each module supported by a live virtual group session.
- Prepare Learning content is released after each Action Learning Group for you to work through at your own pace.
- Apply Complete the tasks within the content and put them into practice in your day-to-day role.
- Reflect Use your workbook and the Action Learning Group to reflect on what you've learnt, and hear how others have approached the same challenges.
- Live Action Learning Groups run for 75 minutes at the end of each module. This is a facilitated space to discuss what worked, what didn't, and how you'll apply the learning next.
Expect to spend around 1–2 hours a week on the programme.
Modules at a glance
Module 1 — Foundations of Good Leadership
Explore what good leadership looks like in practice, including self-awareness, confidence and accountability, and the role EAs and PAs play in supporting and enabling effective leadership across the business.
Module 2 — Communication and Influence
Develop clear, confident and adaptable communication skills. You'll explore how to build credibility, influence appropriately, manage expectations and communicate effectively with senior leaders, colleagues and stakeholders.
Module 3 — People Management Basics
Build practical people management foundations, including coaching conversations, giving feedback, delegation, prioritisation and supporting others to deliver effectively.
