Opening Shift - Mobilisation Call with DWP

Opening Shift is the new national retail work experience programme launched by the BRC and DWP on 7 September to help young people take their first step into employment. More than 40 retailers have already pledged over 11,000 placements, and we're keen to hear from retailers interested in getting involved.

Join us for a session on Opening Shift where will be joined by colleagues from DWP who will outline how the programme will operate in practice, including how referrals will work, engagement with local Jobcentres, key implementation steps, and the support available to employers. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss any practical considerations ahead of launch. There are two mobilisation sessions taking place; you only need to attend one of the sessions, as the same content will be covered in both.
