Neighbourhood Safety Training

Neighbourhood Watch Retail Module Launch

Neighbourhood Watch have developed Neighbourhood Safety Training as part of their commitment to the Community Safety Charter and building communities where crime cannot thrive. The modules include harassment, ASB and personal safety.

They have recently launched a specific retail module covering:

  1. The main retail crime trends affecting the UK
  2. How to prevent and respond to these different crime types
  3. Where and how to report crime and get further support

Another module on hate crimes is coming soon.

The training is free and designed specifically to support businesses.

Neighbourhood Watch is a grassroots charitable movement working to build communities and prevent crime. They are the largest volunteer-led crime prevention charity in England and Wales with 2.3 million members. Local schemes are run by volunteers across England and Wales, supported by local Neighbourhood Watch Associations, and by Neighbourhood Watch Network which is the national umbrella organisation for the movement.

To launch the training, there was a webinar on safer high streets with Matt Coe from the Met Police.
