BRC is arranging a meeting with DHSC to discuss the consultation proposals and gather further detail on the practical implications for retailers.
DHSC and the devolved administrations have launched a UK-wide consultation seeking views on new restrictions for tobacco, vape and nicotine product packaging, device appearance and in-store displays to reduce their appeal, particularly to children and young people.
The proposals include standardising packaging, restricting flavour descriptors and limiting how products can be displayed in retail settings.
