Climate Action Roadmap Showcase

Galvanising and accelerating the industry’s commitment to deliver net zero by 2040

The Climate Action Roadmap Showcase celebrates the achievements of retailers in putting their company and the industry on the path to Net Zero. It focuses on the reduction of carbon emissions, the advancement of sustainability objectives (such as reducing waste or improving recycling), and the improvement in the impact firms have on nature.

Climate Action Roadmap Showcase 2023

The 2023 Showcase launched on the 24th April 2023, with submissions closing in July. Our independent judging panel then selected the best entries in each category, with winners announced on 2nd November at a celebratory event during the BRC’s Climate Action Week.

This year’s Showcase was open to all signatories of the Climate Action Roadmap, a commitment and framework by the retail industry to move itself and its supply chains to Net Zero by 2040. Categories were:

1.   Tackling carbon emissions in the supply chain

2.   Reducing emissions in transport and logistics

3.   Reducing waste

4.   Driving towards net zero properties

5.   Changing consumer behaviour
