Request for Volunteers and Examples of Best Practice for Tackling Retail Crime Together
Tackling Retail Crime Together is a three-year strategy recognising that retail crime is a shared problem with no single solution, requiring a collective partnership response.
Request for Volunteers
Work across the five themes is progressing well. The focus now is to broaden participation and capture activity being delivered by retailers, BIDs, BCRPs, security partners and policing teams to tackle retail crime and strengthen communities.
Three strands are seeking additional contributors:
- High Harm Places
- Offender Management
- What Works / Best Practice
If you have relevant expertise and capacity to support, please email Titus to be connected with the relevant Strand Lead.
Examples of Best Practice
A further priority is to gather and document existing initiatives linked to these strands. Retailers are encouraged to share effective approaches to help build an accessible best practice repository.
Submissions can cover a wide range of activity. This might include security marking, guarding approaches, facial recognition, CCTV/BWV, store layout, street wardens, Criminal Behaviour Orders, out-of-court resolutions, rehabilitation programmes, offender tagging, store security enhancements, identification schemes, crime reporting platforms, partnership working, policing initiatives, urban design, radio schemes and information sharing.
Please use the template below to submit. If the material has already been prepared for an award, this can be shared to avoid duplication.
