This in-person workshop will help retailers confidently communicate a strong business case for acting on nature-related risks and opportunities—translating nature commitments and risk assessments into meaningful, practical interventions.

The morning will feature expert insight and real-world retail case studies on how to build internal buy-in, engage suppliers, leverage local partnerships and collaborate with peers—while communicating about sustainability in an integrated way that connects nature with climate and human rights.

In the afternoon, a practical interactive workshop will help you translate strategy into action in two parts: the Resilience Game, which tests how your sustainability strategy holds up in a changing world, and a session to build a clear, credible internal narrative that secures buy-in for nature-positive retail.

  • Lou Sherry

    Policy Executive - Sustainability | BRC

    Lou leads on environmental and ethical sourcing policy and the BRC's Plan for Nature programme.

  • Lauren Bain

    Senior Environmental Consultant, Nature Positive

    Lauren is a sustainability consultant with a focus on supporting public and private sector organisations to build holistic sustainability strategies, disclose against global ESG frameworks, and understand their impacts and dependencies on nature. She is a certified Green Project Manager with project experience across the UK, US, and Caribbean, and her academic and professional background spans policy, energy, and social impact. Lauren believes strongly that you cannot separate people from planet, so is on a mission to create sustainability projects that deliver value for both.

  • Thomas Mason

    Associate Director – Biodiversity & Finance, Nature Positive

    Tom leads engagements with corporates and financial institutions to help them assess their biodiversity impact across their operations, supply chains, products and services.  

    Tom has over 10 years of experience in multinational organisations across diverse sectors including manufacturing and sustainable finance. A subject matter expert for corporate biodiversity, nature-related risk and reporting, Tom brings applied expertise in measuring nature-related impact in the context of business operations, products, and services.

  • Jenny Hughes

    Associate Director – Environmental Sustainability, Nature Positive

    Jenny specialises in environmental sustainability and has over 11 years’ experience delivering assessments, corporate strategies, research and reporting projects.

    She has worked with a range of global sectors including manufacturing, consumer goods, development and infrastructure to improve organisations relationships with nature and deliver positive impact for the UNSDGs.

    Jenny has experience delivering environmental studies for landscape scale nature restoration in the UK, and is currently advising businesses on double materiality assessments, nature strategies and reporting. 

  • Terry Finch

    Technical Director – Agri-Environment, ADAS

    Terry has over 28 years’ experience in the agricultural industry, working in both the public and private sector. She specialises in delivering consultancy projects as part of the future farming scheme, where she advises farmers on suitable land management options, sustainable farming incentives, landscape, and local nature recovery and regenerative agricultural practices. She enjoys working with farmers and landowners to deliver agri-environmental schemes, with a specific focus on air and water quality, as well as advising on the potential for natural flood management. During her career, she has also overseen multiple environmental and rural development schemes, providing guidance, training, and consultancy services.
