The future retail payments infrastructure must be governed, priced and implemented in a way that delivers for retailers
We have submitted our response to the RPIB's consultation. In our response we say that we support the ambition to modernise the UK's payments infrastructure while emphasising that success should be measured by the outcomes it delivers for retailers and consumers. In particular, the RPIB must focus on ensuring the reforms promote genuine competition, lower and more transparent costs, reliable and secure payments, effective fraud protection, interoperability, affordable implementation and strong merchant representation in the governance of the future payments ecosystem.
