BRC CEO Exchange Forum: Future Fit, Leading through Disruption

Following the October BRC CEO Exchange Forum on Net Zero, attended by over 30 CEOs, participants expressed strong interest in continuing these sessions. I am planning three such Forums throughout the year, each aligned with our industry priorities: Growth, Sustainability, and People.

The March Forum – ‘Future-Fit, Leading through Disruption’ –  will be facilitated by AlixPartners and will focus on People.

I am sure many of you will know Matt Clark and the team who have partnered with many retail businesses (large and small) to support leaders with navigating the impacts of short-term disruption, through to full-scale business transformation. Consideration of the long-term implications for the workforce of continued disruption and change highlights the need for more data-led, analytical decision-making, reinforced with resilience and agility. The changing nature of work, and its implications on colleagues, is critical to address alongside the drive for efficiency and strong leadership. The timing for this session feels appropriate, if challenging, as the financial implications of last October’s Budget are looming large. The decade ahead will be critical to evolving business models and driving for efficiency while ensuring you lead successfully through both short-term disruption and longer-term transformation.

In the early evening, following the Forum, there will be a keynote address as part of our evening lecture and the chance to share a drink with your peers.

My aim with the Forum is to provide you with a thought-provoking workshop featuring actionable takeaways, the opportunity to exchange experiences and challenges with peers in a safe, collaborative space, and the chance to hear from an inspiring speaker. The event promises to deliver all of these, and I’d be thrilled to have you join us for both the Forum and the evening lecture.
