The Climate Action Roadmap Showcase celebrates the achievements of retailers in putting their company and the industry on the path to Net Zero.

The Showcase is open to all signatories of the Climate Action Roadmap, a commitment and framework by the retail industry to move itself and its supply chains to Net Zero by 2040. Entry is free and we encourage as many retailers as possible to share their amazing efforts with the rest of the industry.

The Climate Action Roadmap Showcase 2023 will be launched on 24th April, with the deadline for submissions on 30th June. Our independent judging panel will then select the best entries in each category, with a celebratory evening to mark the achievements on 2nd November, during the BRC’s Climate Action Week.

More information on entry will be published on 24 April.

Climate Action Roadmap Showcase 2022

In 2022, we held the inaugural Showcase, receiving over 40 submissions across five categories. These submissions looked at amazing initiatives taking place over the last two years by retailers, big and small.

Winning entrants spanned the breadth of the industry, from supermarket giants to smaller brands. Their initiatives, along with many others submitted to the Showcase, have helped to reduce carbon emissions by tens of thousands of tonnes since 2020.

You can read an overview of each of the entries below:

  1. Tackling carbon emissions in the supply chain
  2. Reducing emissions in transport and logistics
  3. Reducing waste
  4. Driving towards net zero properties
  5. Changing consumer behaviour
