Resources and Waste Update Dec 2024

Earlier this month, Defra hosted its December Joint Resources & Waste Stakeholder Engagement Forum. During the meeting, Defra reflected on the progress made across the Circular Economy agenda in 2024 and started to look forward into 2025, featuring presentations by guest speakers from industry and local government as well as Minister Creagh. The meeting also provided updates and answered questions on Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging (EPR), the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) for drinks containers, Simpler Recycling and other aspects of the Resources & Waste programme.
