Online Marketplaces Roundtable Follow-up

Following on from BRC’s Online Marketplace Roundtable, Adrian and Aish met with the Office for Product Safety and Compliance (OPSS) to discuss in more detail the definition of online marketplaces, as well as the routine testing taking place. 

While OPSS is looking to define online marketplaces on paper, any retailer with an online presence who sells products directly to consumers, or to consumers via a third party, whether it be via the internet or an app, is in subject to the rules and regulations of an online marketplace.
