Draft guidance out for commercial rent arrears arbitration

The Government have published a working draft of their Guidance for arbitrators about the exercise of their functions under Part 2 of the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Bill.

The Government are inviting comments, with the intention that the final draft will be published after the Bill receives Royal Assent, expected in mid to late March. That final draft will take into account any changes made during the final stages of the Bill’s passage through Parliament.

Members are invited to read the summary below, and the guidance itself, and respond with comments to me by email, so that the BRC can collate and submit comments from across the industry.
